In the midwest, the blackbirds hang around for winter.  In January, I sat and watched them with my grandmother. Flying from the roof, to the lawn, then to a tree, hundreds of them, all together at the same time. The experience was incredibly beautiful and memorable.  

I used 16"x20" premium stretched and wrapped canvas, acrylic paints and recycled VHS film in the making of this painting. The edges of canvas are painted black, signed and dated on the back, and have wire installed so they are ready to hang upon arrival. A final varnish is applied to protect the surface of the painting from dust and UVA/UVB rays.
